Blueberry pie.


Another good way to start the new year is to walk over to a friend's house after you've eaten pork tenderloin with mash and peas and eat some home made pie! This being the bacon parcel making friend, who like me, reads a few online recipes for ideas and then gets to it in the kitchen making what she wants to make with her own flare! And succeeding! The pastry was her own, the blue berries were frozen and there was some lemon rind and juice in it too! And a little flour to thicken it, which you toss the frozen berries in before sealing them in the pastry, and it all does it's magic when it cooks. She served it with a frozen vanilla yoghurt, which was made with cream, so was as good as ice cream but doesn't feel that bad because it's called yoghurt instead! Yummy for my tummy! Then you walk home again, to feel less guilty about the pie! Guilt? Who am I kidding!?
